BSR's AGM was held on 29th March reviewing our activities in 2023. The charity continues to thrive through the commitment of our trustees and supporters in the village and surrounding areas. We raised a total of just over £18,000 enabling us to distribute more than £16,500 to our various projects - in Jordan, Uganda/South Sudan and here in the UK.
We held a number of fundraising events in the village which were all well supported, including:
Friday evening films and talks
A family ceilidh
The Barndance play at Mackney Barn
A poetry and music evening, also at the Barn
BSR ran the tea tent at Brightfest and a Pimms stall at the Coronation street party. We also benefitted from the proceeds of St Agatha's summer concert and luches hosted by Amanda Potter. In addition to the very generous one-off and monthly donations from our supporters, we received matched funding from the Vodaphone Foundation and Benevity.
Once again, we would like to thank all of our supporters, trustees and helpers who helped to make 2023 another excellent year for our charity. If you would like further details from the AGM, please email us at BSR@BSR-Charity.org. Thank you.
